Leap Motion: the detector that could kill Kinect?

Sometimes technology surprises and going one step forward. What now seems the case. Out of nowhere, the company Leap Motion comes as offer for sale pre-order a USB case that would, according to the FAQ the developer David Holz , a detector 3D motion 100 times more accurate than any touch screen or other sensor . Holz also compares its device Kinect, indicating the much more accurate!

Compatible with PC and Mac this case will be available this winter and sold for only $ 70

Motion technology Leap is a new breakthrough in the interaction with computers that uses a mathematical approach to 3D, motion detection without contact and control software that are unlike anything that exists today on the market. Developed over the past four years, Leap Motion goes much further than current technologies designed to capture the movements of the arm.

No doubt the precision of this USB device is amazing. But I can't see much of its use right now. I am hoping for some surprising apps in future which will run using LEAP.

For it to kill Kinect this would require Casual Games tailor made for it

Though there are much more uses for this technology than just Gaming

With the amount of amazing accuracy shown in that demo, and also because the concept is awesome, I believe this thing can do much better than Kinect.
