so both were in market at same time ?errr... i dont think so. The 8800gt was never the fastest card in the market (the 8800gtx was), unless you talk about price/ performance.
ultra (8800ultra) IIRC was a limited release card
i don't remember correctly but i think 8800gt was a little ahead of 8800gtx
i was wondering 9600gt and 8800gt in that list. these card helped alot to win midstream, the largest one, segment
^ if ur considering mid range segment then the 6600GT takes the crown

Mainly falling in between 8800GTS 640MB and GTX
I remembered playing GTA-Vice City on Nvidia Riva TNT2 Model 64...
Wierd list. It picks up the BEST card of the earlier time, not the fastest but the best overall. Later on just the most expensive things you can buy. Wierd list.
Plus it doenst have the Voodoo 5 5500 ... two chips on one card, that thing was nice.
