Just a suggestion . There are many guides in the Hardware Section and new ones are posted eventually . Why not make a sub-section out of it ?

Then no one actually bothers reading them ... there will be some cleanup of that though. Step by step mate.

Now if you dont mind, lets leave this thread for buyers ! Hit me a profile message for suggestions, or just use the Suggestions forum.

I think this really renders the hardware section useless, with so many guides n all. really unneccasry, as we i mean ask a guru thread is already enough, but this is overkill.

buy a decent mobo, and aftermarketcooler, and overclock e5200 to 3.5ghz, get a 9800gt, or 4850 if it is in your budget.

I am looking to buy a xfx 9800gt....i just saw the benchmarks between 9800gt and 9600gt and FPS are fairly the same. Clocks are the same. In fact core clock on 9600gt is 650 MHZ and the 9800gt is 600mhz stock. I know the difference of 92 stream processors vs 112. Besides this what is the real difference.

Will it be a better option to buy a 9600gt and and save around 2.5k for a good casing. I am not willing to change my GPU again atleast in 1.5 years and play most of the games.

Secondly, i have the e7200 at stock and looking to OC it to the 3.0 GHZ mark atleast. should i buy a new cooler for this? or stock cooler would do.

OK so as the end of February is approaching, I'm getting more and more panicky.
I need to buy a lappy for myself.

      What i want it for?
      - MS Office, Visual C++, Flash, Photoshop etc
      - Call of Duty 4

Should be able to run at acceptable settings. I dont care much about AA and AF on a 14.1 inch screen.

Yes the second point is where i run into problems. I have to choose between the following two configs. Help me out:

Intel Dual Core 2.0GHz with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400XT (128MB dedicated, 64bit, shareable upto 512MB)
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz with Nvidia Geforce 9200GS (256MB dedicated, 64bit, shareable upto 1024MB)

Just help me decide. QUICKLY. The first notebook is a 14.1inch Acer, the second one is an HP Pavilion DV5T series model.
The HP one is a bit outta my budget.
