      Review [i3 vs C2D]

so there have been some million dollar questions like

"Should i move on to new chipset"
"what kind of performance gain am i expecting"
"how many fps will be changed"
" OR should i wait for a newer chipset"
"should i wait for the prices to come down"

      etc etc etc............

i myself was once in such a dilemma but now my mind is set so i thought to make a little write up or a review what ever you may call it to help all the others with the same confusion

so i took waris's HAWK baby after he has done the benches and thought to do the same benches n compare up the results

      e7300 at 3.38 Ghz
      Asus p5kpl-cm
      2 gb DDR2 DHX 1014 (5-5-5-15-2T)
      MSI GTX 460 HAWK Stock & 900/1050/1800
      1600x900

      i3 530 @ 2.93 Ghz
      Asus p7 h55d M pro
2 gb corsair value select ram
      MSI GTX 460 HAWK Stock & 900/1050/1800
      1600*900

i tried to make the settings as identical as possible but still plus minus are expected

Special thanx to waris for volunteering his Hawk and achabacha for guiding the path n keeping minor details in perspective

      Great Comparison Farid..

E7500 sure can perform well in most of the games but current gen like Mafia2, Conviction, Just Cause2, Metro 2033 and BF:BC2 love extra cores and threads..

      nice comparison
n ya as HMS says these games can truly utilize the power of extra threads
n most of games are very much gpu dependent
e7*** series with bit overclocking ill d serve the purpose
and ur BF:BC2 frames are r low
      i3 performs awesome in BF:BC2
n my gameplay screen shots are on stock settings(cpu and gpu both)

      anyways Gud effort

You should be able to take it to around 4.2Ghz easily. I have used n520 with e8400 in the past and it easily clocked to 4.0Ghz. PG user Ferrari has also taken it to over 4.4ghz on the n520.
