Good mouse pad makes a huge difference with gaming mice.

      You should get one.

Good mouse pad helps in tracking the cursor when you accelerate the mouse with a huge force. Normally mice work well without mousepads, but if you use a mouse pad, and play FPS/RPG games with low sensitivity and need to move the mouse quickly, then a Gaming Mouse Pad is a must.

I have used Mantis Speed and Control, Goliathus Speed and Control, QcK Large, and eXactMat. All were good. Nowadays I am using Goliathus Control, and its epic.

^ I second that Goliathus Control Edition is your best bet for Mamba but I highly suggest you to do a thorough research before buying one because when it comes to Mice Pads its similar to one man's food another's poison.

      - my recommendation is based on my recent purchase as a proof you may check my Wts thread.

If you want a textured feel on your mouse, then get Goliathus Control (for low sensitivity gamers, who strive for better accuracy).
If you want smooth feel on your mouse, get Goliathus speed (high sensitivity gamers, who strive for speed over accuracy).

There are hard-mats available but they'll hurt your mouse feet very quickly. Plus they feel cold in winter on your hand, so its better if you get any of the Goliathus pads.

I know it sounds weird, but the Goliathus Control Edition mouse pad is actually much more smoother than the Speed edition.
      Have used both.

And i think that its Control edition is pretty much the best mouse pad for the feel of moving a mouse.
