PCIe 3.0 Cards Works With PCIe 2.0 MotherBoard

As tittle of this thread say i want to know that PCIe 3.0 card for example Gt640 works with my DH61WW PCIe 2.0 motherboard.
If Gt640 is backward compatible than i don't think that PCIe 2.0 will make any difference in performance.

Secondly what will you guys advise me about my next GPU? I am thinking to wait for Gt640 & Gt645.
      Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, gt 640

As you can its price is $109, So i am assuming that the price of the card will be 10-12k here in pakistan & i am willing to expand the same amount of money on the card.
      Games i want to play
      1)BattleField3
2)Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City (I am able to play this game at low setting on my built-in Intel HD2000 Graphic Card)
      3)Syndicate
      4)Alan Wake
      5)Max Pyane 3

      You'r advise are welcome.

Yes it is backward compatible with your motherboard and GT-640 is the best card to get for that price. All you need to do is wait for its release in Pakistan.

chek the review of 640 here... Its probably the worst card out by nvidia at its price..
Benchmark Results: Battlefield 3 : Nvidia GeForce GT 640 Review: Cramming Kepler Into GK107

A 6750 outperforms it... in ur budget.. ur best buy would be to get 7750.
