^^ what i hav read is flow of current depends on load???? Voltage always causes shock, as charges flow from higher to lower potential..

what zasha meant i think is related to the burden (VA rating) of source.

@ thedarkdisciple, u can earth body of your stabilizer it will do the job. but then make sure pc connected to it with three pin. else directly earth ur chasis.

^^Or you could sacrifice that stabilizer for home use, like for ur TV or something and get a 3-pin input and 3 pin out stabilizer. But then again if ur willing to spend money i always say u should never run expensive computer parts without a UPS

i m just using a high quality copper wire...that is connected to back of my case and is tied to a 3 inch nail in the ground...
works like a charm.. never get shocked after that...

u can touch charger pin which produces more less volt
It's more like 3000-5000V but since the current is in mA it doesn't pose a health risk.

^ This. Simplest, most effective solution
Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it very often.

Nail is not an effective solution due to reduced amount of surface contact btw nail and the ground itself. The gas pipe coming out of the ground will have higher area of contact
