how 2 transfer file from one pc to another

i want to transfer some data from my new pc to old pc for backup. pz tell how can i transfer data through ntwrking.
total data is 7gb. and i hav no usb.

make an FTP server using a free software on the host pc
use a download manager like IDM to download files off it

will download in no time

oh and if I have a router just connect both of them to the router and select the local (192 ip) in the FTP server software, goto your browser and enter ftp:// host pc ip /

download each file...or if you have many files, put them in a zip file and download that from the host pc

brother its easy yaar get a networking cable and put connector on both sides
connect cable with both pc's and in network places create home network and select direct network options
after this share file on one pc and copy this from other pc
but the easy way of transfer files is from hard disk directly
