      Green series tend to be slow. If you cant get black go for seagate instead. Dont be put off by the smaller cache size

      Its pretty simple. If you want Data Storage, then just buy the 640GB Green, which is still (unexpectedly) quite good in performance, considering its Green Series Hard Drive.
      And if you want Performance and are ready to spend some extra bucks, then sure, Black HDD is a way to go. But they arent cheap.

      EDIT: You can also check the HD Tune Benchmarking Thread. That will REALLY help you differentiate between a Green, Black and Seagate 12th Gen Drives.
