Data transfer between two Wifi devices

Ok..

Here's the scenario.

I have one HTC Desire Z [Gingerbread] and the Novo 7" Tablet [Ice Cream Sandwich]

The tablet does not have bluetooth.

But there is Wifi Connectivity, so How do I transfer data from the phone to the tablet?

Also, HTC Desire Z [Gingerbread] has that Wifi Hotspot thing. Does that add any advantage?

bro i did some searching and i aint sure that it is possible between two mobiles to transfer data using wifi. although i did find this though

Install file expert from the market on both devices and setup on whichever protocol ur comfortable with and start transferring
