Advice regarding buying a good laptop

I was about to buy a new iMac 21.5" but I stopped and am wondering if I should go for it or a better laptop in almost same price i.e. 1.25k I would love a Core i3 with Nvidia card of minimum of 512MB or 1GB, please drop in all the suggestions along with a link to full specs and if possible a link to official websites page as well. I would have bought iMac yesterday itself but due to some money issuing problem (at banks side :P) I didn't, but this problem gave me a bit of time to think about alternatives.

ohh and also I would like to add, since I am also getting a PS3, gaming would be the least of things I would like on the laptop, so considering this, please suggestion should I go for iMac or the laptop.

Dude get a Dell XPS Studio, it has an i7 and a high end ATI card. Google for the specs.

as gaming is the least of your concerns...
      get hp i7 laptop
the best i could think of is with 6gb ram i7 640 gb hdd blu ray 7 ultimate...ssd i guess

coz i wouldnt buy an imac for 1.25k

or if u wanna go expensive there dell's alienware lineup...
