@Voodoo shuldnt he get an E5200 if opting for DUALCOre setup because itll put the total cost within his budget
adn 2X2GB ram iz kinda overkill for gaming on XP but thts just me
@bongas: did you even read the first post! The buyers on a budget and why would he want to do sli? sli is only needed if u have atleast have a 22inch lcd!

680i sli wud be the best.SLi is the worst for value for money! You are always better off buying a better card!heres a good build for a gamin pc + a future proof one.
E7300 10k
680i 9k
2gb ram,250gb hdd,450watts ov power(coolermaster extreme)
and a 9500gt ddr2 512mb 5k
later u can put a core 2 quad with a descent graphics card n run two way sli.
its not for extreme gamin or playing games on a 27" wide screen ,its for light gaming.
ike assasin's creed,cod4 ,nfs undercover,burnout paradise,fallout 3 etc....
And 680SLi ... crap board btw! And 9500GT ?Seriously ... that thing for GAMING while buying a friggin 9,000 motherboard ? HAHA! Buying anything less than a HD4670/9600GSO is just wasting money. And so is getting SLi if you arent getting anything less than the top of the line (GTX280 or better)
@Jaan
Dont get quad core ... overall useless in games!
Get the PG Gaming PC Mainstream! It will serve you well in your budget!

if E7400/7300 falls in his budget then they are better than E5200 who has less cache as well as very uncertain behavior regarding temperature, however if budget is issue then E5200 is OK,
4 GB is better than 2 GB, in xp 32 bit he will use near 3.2 GB,

yes, it is the best card in this price (if we see its specs) with reasonable cooler, i have tried hardly but not found any review/benchmark of this card, so we can confirm its performance/temp practically,
