General Posting Rules and Guidelines

Leniency will be exercised for the following but you are requested to abide by these basic posting rules to improve productivity in "PC Helpdesk Section"

1. Proper Thread Titles
Simply using "Help Needed" "Problem" as Titles should be avoided
Thread Titles should contain the topic of the query as it not only aids in browsing through topics but also will yield quicker responses from members. ALWAYS mention the BUDGET in title as well.

2. Tags [Help][NBA]
Tags in thread titles are encouraged as it makes it easy for potential "Helpers" to quickly browse the threads relevant to their expertise

3. Arguments/Discussion
Apart from General Advice, healthy discussions are encouraged as long as they dont stray too far from the topic. Getting into petty arguments should be avoided

4. Advice Rejectors/Personal Comments
If u feel the Help seeker is not listening to your advice or making unnecessary arguments its best to leave the thread. Personal Comments against any member will not be tolerated

5. Search for Queries
Do a PROPER Search before you make a thread. Sometimes, a specific query has been asked countless times and you'll be able to find your answer in already existent threads.

Restrictions

Following are absolutely prohibited in "PC Helpdesk Section" and failing to abide by these will land you Infractions followed by Ban.

1. Fanboyism
This is strictly prohibited PERIOD. Your suggestions should be factual and not based on brand loyalty. Replies like "Buy Nvidia it rocks" "AMD is the best so get it" will be deleted

Further more unnecessarily defending a Piece of Hardware without factual evidence and only based on the fact that you yourself own it falls into Fanboyism Category

2. Oneline Replies
These useless replies are prohibited as they serve no purpose apart from increasing Post Count

Examples "...+1" "^Agreed" "Well said" "Thanx XYZ"

The "Like" button serves this purpose so USE IT

Also included are effortless one line advices "XYZ GPU/MOBO/PSU all the Way" "Go for ABC"
U are required to provide your reasoning and any such replies will be Deleted
