HP! I've used 3 Dells and 2 HPs. HPs were <3. Infact, abhi bhi Dell use ker raha hoon. Most Dell products i've come across were prone to faults. Bad build quality IMO. I'd say HP over Dell anyday!

      Dont know about the suggestions,

But HP is great man. I haven't had any overheating problems while i've used em. Both were models of dv6... On the contrary i have to use cooling fans on Dell other wise temps exceed 90 for me.

I'd prefer anything over Dell Inspiron series

I would say go for Dell Inspiron as per my experience with 3 Inspiron's.

If you are thinking to buy from USA then visit dell site http://www.dell.com/us/p/laptops?~ck=mn

I will suggest take a look on Dell XPS 15 and 17" and all new Dell Z Series 14z" and 15z". Customize according to your need and price
