        HDD: 1 TB Seagate
        Chassis: LEGEND
        PSU: Legend 350 watts [UPS: Mercury ELITE 600 PRO]
        Soundcard: RealTek High Definition, ATI Radeon High Defintion 7.1
        OS: Windows 7 Ultimate genuine 32 Bit

      [SOLVED]Sharing troubleshooting

      I m facing troubleshooting regarding sharing b/w 1 pc & 1 laptop

      win 7 installed in PC (shared a drive)
      win xp installed in laptop

      whenever i open a sharing from laptop to insert pc it ask username password. I m not getting what username shud i insert..

      logged name : abc
      computer name : xyz
      password : 1234 (set on my computer > Manage > Local User & group> Users > guest

      Somebody please help me where m i making mistake to put wrong whether username or passwordShud i insert
      USERNAME:- abc or xyz or administrator ( or what)
      Password:- 1234

      you made the connection wrong thats why problem is occurring. how you are making connection ?

      If he's being prompted to enter the username and password then his connection is FINE.

      @OP
      You need to set a password for the ADMIN account of the PC you're trying to connect to. If you currently have no password, then set it via user control panel.
      Remember there are no stupid questions, just stupid people.
