      [SOLVED]PC Startup Problem.

      My Rig was running perfect, as soon as I pressed the power button of my rig the fan and lights turned on for 2 secs hardly and suddenly turned off :/ I can smell something is burning either it is the motherboard or power supply. I may be wrong need urgent help from the experts.

      P.S PC specs are mentioned in my sig.

      Disconnect the PSU Wires from each and everything inside your PC, especially the 24pin Power Connector (on motherboard), and ofcourse disconnect the main power cable from PSU as well.

      Connect only the necessary items to get a boot up ... after atleast 20 minutes.

      It might be becuase of:
      1. PSU (Leak Capacitors)
      2. Earthing

      I will not touch the wires my self cause I am not good at this department lol
      will take it to the pc guy and tell him what you suggested.

      I'd suggest not to boot up the system with the same PSU itself...... you may even fry other components.

      Ask the guy to boot up your system with a different PSU and then you'll know exactly about the faulty part.

      Prblem solved. The shop guy took out 2 connectors from the mobo and set them back and then he pressed the reset button and the power button on the mobo. VOLA!
