6770 and 7750 are actually on par... but mostly 7750 wins... 7750 shud be ur preferance cuz its newer, low power consumption and runs cooler...

Well, I'm not even sure that my PSU has a 6-pin connector or not. The 7750 doesn't need one but a 6770 does. 7750 has VERY low temperature and has low requirements. With so much things under control, I'm confused how it can outperform a 6770.

In my opinion if you are going for a new ATI card than go for 7 series until and unless you are getting a rock bottom price on 6950 or 6780

Its simple. 7750 has newer architecture hence less power requirement and less heat. you shouldn't worry about it. Requiring a 6 pin connector or generating more heat isn't really a plus point. 7750 might be the new budget king unless nivida offers something more spectacular.

      Personal (non smart S advice)

6770/5770 esp in ur resolution is a pretty great choice. the difference in performance b/w 6770 and 6790 is quite minor in reality (not worth the price)

I personally have played with 5770 along with a 2400 for about a year and i played at 1080p @ ultra game. every game.. i repeat every game (with some exceptions like BF3 and Crysis2 on DX11 with high res texture packs) ran on extremely well FPS from 40-60.
*games like cry2 with high res texture pack DX11 required some tweaking like NO AA and MED shadows to play at 40-60. but any way i gamed at 1080p @ ULTRA.
and no one can challenge me on that because i have personally done that for an year so this aint bullshit.

      go with 6770
if u want to go for a little better (however not required at 1366) u can get a gtx460 because 6790 and 6770 are of the same league (tier) but story changes from 460 onwards

      Hiya!
I wanted to ask some questions.
I have decided I want to be a little more future-proof and I'm gonna be patient and will buy a GTX460 in August (Because of exam results ). So first, I want to buy a good power supply, so I need help with that. How much should I get, so it's last at least a couple years without worries. And how much should I spend on it?

Second, if I buy a GTX460, for approximately how much will it run before I'll need to upgrade again? Is 1.5 years OK for that if it's really powerful?
