      [NBA]How Good is a ATI 6770?

So yeah, 'someone' that is Captain Wajii beat me a few hours to the GTX460, even though I told the Galaxy dude to reserve it for me for one day. :/ But anyhow, I want to back to my previous choice that was HIS 6770.

I wanted to know how good it is, if some of you have it. How is your experience with it? I'm not playing on high resolution. I'm playing on ye ol' 1366x768, so how will it fare in games like Arkham City, Crysis 2 etc. Even my 9600GT handles Crysis 2 at medium (The setting after the gamer one, can't remember what it's called) at constant 35+ fps.

Is it worth it? If you can, please post some average fps of your games with 6770. Thanks!

sir ge... try to get used 6790 ... that is best gpu in its price... 6770 is good too but its only 128bit ... I would recommend you to get 6790 or 6850 by adding 1 or 2k in ur budget and beat the gtx460

      Not worth it!
      Go for a used 6790 or 550ti.

for ur resolution, 6770 will do the job real good, also u will buy it new, so u r more on safe side. also its very low power consuming gpu 108watts approx.

On the other hand, if u go for used GPUz 6790 and 550ti r options
yes 6790 is better than 550ti, Go for it if u find it somewhere

That's all good and all, but the thing is my PSU isn't all that great, I was thinking of 6770 because sunny945 told me my PC could easily handle it. Even in his PSU thread, 5770 has 9A on a 12V rail while a 9600GT has 8A on 12V rail. So it would be much safer. Plus a good card like 6790, no one would sell it used and who knows, it may have 2 6-pin connectors. I don't know much about that but I don't think I have 2 6-pin connectors. But my PSU does have 2 12V rails (as sunny945 says).

So, is 6770 a good choice? Or is there a better choice for the same price?

But this is in case u r buying a NEW gpu...

A 7750 is a better buy even when compared to 550ti.. see here

IN 2nd hand category,, i think a used 6850 wud do a better job at around the 13-14k price tag..

Thank you very much! I'm going with 7750! I don't know why I missed that on Galaxy's page, it's handling all the great games well on 1680x1050, so 1366x768 will be a breeze! Thanks again!

Hm, I've been reading some reviews and a LOT of them are saying 7750 is lame even though the review mentioned above is showing very high performance. Now I'm double-minded :/. A lot of them are saying even a 6770 is better, now I'm back to page 1, what should I do?
