I have been thinking of getting a big LCD television display for standard (Non-HD) cable viewing purposes. Only just recently, it occurred to me that if I am to get such a big display why not make use of it with the PlayStation 3 and then the thought of 3D followed immediately after that.
Now that I reviewed prices of 40-42 inches LCD 3DTVs, I just couldn't feel sorry for myself for being restricted with a rather meagre budget of Rs. 70000. That's when I noticed EcoStar CX-42L520 3D LCD TV on Shophive: EcoStar CX-42L520 3D price in pakistan
Now then, we know SONY and Samsung and LG are pretty well known for their 3D displays for a long time now but I am just not too sure about the quality and service of Ecostar to be honest. It's cheap alright, but is the 3D and Full HD that it boasts really worth all the viewing with those 3D games on PS3 and would it really prove to be the right bang for buck? How good is the picture quality and sound AND more importantly the 3D visuals? Do they really match standards set by the other renowned players in the market?
Regarding cable, I am kind of unsure if a FULL HD and FULL 3d display such as this would be good for standard cable viewing. I have seen many lcd/led tvs that make standard cable look terrible (don't know the reason). There are a few that make characters on screen look way too small, thanks to those black borders on the edges and also at times the standard cable appears way too hazy and messed up (dont really know why).
Sigh! I do really wish this display from Ecostar can do the job for me, in terms of cable viewing, as well as FULL HD and FULL 3D PS3 gameplay.
I would highly appreciate advices from all.
PS: Let me stress that the budget is Rs. 70000, and that's all I have.
