[Help]My laptop is S*itting??

Guys my papers finished today and i got my laptop back(YAY).Now when i started my computer first of all it took 4-7 mins on bootup. Before it used to take 2mins or so for boot up.Then i had just downloaded Panda AV and installed with a 6month subscription(illegal) and when the windows started i noticed that it was expired(WTF it has been only a month).
Ok so i can handle those things but what really is giving me a hard time is that programs take 3-4mins to start. Some game files got corrupted. And then i tried to extract a simple file and i am getiing 800kbps.
And also it wouldnt let me copy files from a hardisk that is working fine with my xp comp(but it sucks!).it keeps giving me errors that u need administrators permission for this and when i click try again it copies that file but the problem is it s a 20 gig file and its giving me an error every 30 sec and i cant sit there waiting for the error(or can i??)

Check your hard disk for errors and bad sectors. First try using the windows chkdsk utility :

1. Open the "Computer" window
2. Right-click on the drive in question
3. Select the "Tools" tab
4. In the Error-checking area, click <Check Now>.

If this does not work then use some software like hdtune to check the hard drive for bad sectors.

Also check task manager processes and see if their are any suspicious processes, i.e, processes with unusually high CPU or memory usage.

k man so i started chkdsk and its slow as hell too
