      [?] i5 2500k - Going to 5+ Gigs ...

I see there are a few people who have O.C'ed 2500K to 5 and above.

I can do a stable 4.6. And Ali Man told me that AsRock board will auto level the power till 4.6

After that it needs more then just the multiplier.

Please do share your values for going 5 and above.

Right now my settings are --> http://screensnapr.com/e/AVhHFT.png

Idle temp is 30-32 while on load below 45.

      Thanks.

Don't use the AXTU utility for overclocking, I'd recommend you do all this from the Bios:

      For 5Ghz:
      - Enable Internal PLL Overvoltage.
      - Set the CPU Core Voltage to fixed mode and set the voltage till 1.480V

Save the setting's and restart. You should be able to restart at 5Ghz if not the first time, well the second or third time for sure.
The bios may get stuck while restarting, so you may have to do all these step's again after clearing the CMOS, from its switch behind the mobo.

      For 5.2Ghz:
      - Keep the Internal PLL Overvoltage Enabled.
      - Change the CPU load-line calibration to Level 1.
      - Bump the voltage on the fixed mode till 1.530V.

Again, booting at 5.2Ghz is not an easy task for the Mobo to do. The OC may be failed as the bios may get stuck a few times, but it surely would boot at 5.2Ghz if you try it a few times. But there's no way it would go above 5.2Ghz, no matter what you do, so i'd suggest you don't go there. Anyways good luck.

      A little addendum.

The better your chip is the more you can OC at a lower Voltage. For 5.2GHz the best I have seen is around 1.45v although I don't remember where I found that.
Thing is, you can go over 5.2Ghz as well. Bdax can go to 5.25GHz and another user here (I forget the name, he hs the Maximus 4 Extreme) said he reached 5.4Ghz.
5% of all the chips have the power to go the distance (up to 5.5GHz ). So at least try to boot at 5.3Ghz for once at least to see where your chip falls.

Exactly, only stretching the clocks isn't all you need, you also need reasonable vCores as well. 1.50v+ will kill the CPU quite badly.

i went till 5.33 =D .. it depends mainly on the chip every chip has its own barrier and secondly on the mobo ..and very little on the psu ..and the rest is luck..

You sure that the VCore was 1.3v on LOAD? Cuz if its on load then you Sir, have golden chip and should try to set a record

Run some benchies, or video conversion and check voltage on CPU-Z.
