P.S the dealer of sony in techno city has ps3 on display hooked up to 26inch bravia lcd and motorstorm playing on it.
anyone wants to give it a try should considering going there..

cant we just buy ps3 from some other country and then avail its warranty here in pakistan because BIG brands like SONY, Panasonic,LG, Samsung give worldwide international warranty.
if any problem occurs then the sony service centre should take it without any excuse rite?
Logically that is correct but that is not what I understood. Sony Service Centre staff was very specific about it. They said warranty is valid only if the purchase is made from a Sony Sales Centre in Pakistan.

Besides, there are version differences. PS3 comes in American, Eurpoean, Asian and Middle Eastern versions (maybe more). I think Pakistan is also under middle east. So even if they will consider, they will do it for ME region.

Note that PS3 version has nothing to do with the games. All PS3 games are region free.
