Help: Something wrong with TP-Link WR940N.....

      AOA!

I am a PTCL 1 Mb package user and been using the above mentioned router to create a wireless environment around home for a while now. Had no problem whatsoever in the past with it and everything worked beautifully.

Recently, I started getting a yellow triangle on the network status indicator with troubleshooter indicating a problem with the DNS server. I ignored it for a week taking it for a server issue.
Recently, connected my modem to my computer directly and discovered there was no problem with the server whatsoever. Net is working flawlessly when modem is directly connected to the PC.

I reconfigured the router with the settings that used to work fine in the past but to no avail. Updating the router to the latest firmware didn't work either.

Have no idea what suddenly has gone wrong with the router. All the paired devices (tablet, mobile, PC) get connected fine but internet is not available.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It would help to know what settings you're using.

Reset your router, and get the settings from PTCL may be by calling helpline, and then try it. I had the similar kind of issue but that was because of ip conflict.

      Authentication Type: PPPOE

I then input my username and password for authentication which used to work just fine.

Easy setup assistant gives the following error at the end:

      1. Check WAN type and parameters.
      2. Check your network settings.
