Xbox 360 new disc format..plzzz read!!!

Salam every1. Some of u know or some of u not know that microsoft is releasing xbox 360 new disc format of 9.5gb instead of 8.5gb.....means that new upcoming games like modern wafare 3 and battlefield 3 will not be able to burn on 8.5gb disc format because microsoft is adding 1gb extra to disc format...and 9.5gb disc is not still developed....

Means we should not be able to play new upcoming games on modified xbox 360?????

This i big blow to piracyy???????????

Microsoft wants 2 stop piracy and want us 2 buy the original ones??????

Is this a end for all modified userss??????????

dude it is already a known fact that the new XDG3 disc data is burnable on a standard DVD DL disc ... and please .. ask such questions in the main thread... no need to create a separate thread !

faizy correct me here ..the new disc are burnable on exsisting d/l ...how ...obvious its not going to be easy doing it ..can u point the thread in the right directionthen .

some minor removal of data will be in order .. because the new disc is exceeding the capacity of a normal DL disc by a couple of MBs .... and if your talking about the discs being live safe .. then my friend ... we already know that even the current discs aren't live safe .. nothing is live safe ... the games will boot ... all consoles will require a firmware update to support XDG3 ... and ap2.5 checks will be taken care of as the firmware releases ... as always it will be widespread that the fw is live safe but as history tells us ... nothing is live safe

the new format wont have 9.5 gb disk space. It will still be a Dual Layer DVD which have 8.5 gb disk space. Currently MS reserve about 1 gb of space for piracy checks etc, which will be removed in the new XGD3 format. So i dont think that will be a problem for the hackers out there..
