split/second announced for the psp

Split/Second, Disney's explosive and extremely likable arcade racer, is coming to the PSP later this year.

First released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, the leading version of Split/Second was developed by Black Rock and earned our own seal of approval when we gave the game an 8.7 and said lots of nice things about it.

An iPhone version followed soon after though that fared less well, bagging a less impressive 6.0 in a review that said the game 'never gels'.

The PSP version of Split/Second will be an all-new take on the explosive formula of the original.

Sumo are on development duties, and have proved perfectly capable with past ports of F1 2009 and OutRun 2 for the handheld.
