@Reaper....Yes I havnt,I recently bought a PSP....I just cant get used to the camera controls...

Change the control scheme to some other layout.
I remember I used the one which had cam controls on the XO/\[] buttons.

Try the GOW games, ghost of sparta and chains of Olympus.
I don't remember I played any stealth games on the PSP other than MGS1 portable ops and peace walker.

Ah so youve played peacewalker? Im done with the missions - tackling the extra ops and building my unit. Having trouble finding s ranked soldiers. Have to use the freaking analyser.
Yeah played chains of olympus - got ghost of sparta havent come around playing it yet. syphone filter was stealthy - i also liked splinter cell (ps2). Didnt have a story as deep as mgs - but i liked all the spy tools it had.

Here is something that might help you with Ex Ops.

Download this file. There are two tables in this doc file the first lists all the unlockables that you can get through beating ExOps missions and the second table shows which mission has to be done to unlock some other missions.

I played that game for 90+ hours and unlocked almost everything.....even the stealth camo.

And about the S ranked soldiers, there are a few areas where you can get them with ease. Just google it and I am sure you will land on lots of helpful stuff.

Yes I am crazy about mgs games. Haven't played mgs4 yet though....will play it someday hopefully.
Dude if you have finished off the story you would have unlocked all the missions. And this is where you can find the S ranked soldiers. I can't remember the names of the missions....the mission after which you fight your first ever boss (those giant singing things) there at that bridge there are around 4-5 soldiers and one of those is an S ranked cook or something.

@schamir haven't played 3rd birthday. If you are into jap chicks....try out CrisisCore one of the best rpg games out there on the PSP. Most engaging story and most memorable ending....ah *man tears*.

@Reaper - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA @giant singing things!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH! Man I hate that tune, its like theyre mocking me in the battle field. Yeah Im doing the extra ops - the more I do the more Ill unlock to get to the S rank soldier missions. Getting there. Thanks!
And YES - guns of the patriots! I remember after sons of liberty I was dying to know what happened next - they were so close to finding the identities of the patriots. I havent read any reviews/spoilers of MGS4 because I want the suspense to stay alive. I love Kojima's twisted stories with such a ring to reality. Im really not crazy into gaming anymore (as im old and married now:P) - but when I hear an MGS title is coming out - I just have to play it. I couldnt get the ps3 just for one game - so im just waiting till when the time is right - lets see.

@schamir - Yeah the Lara Croft anniversary game is pretty neat have a go at it. Glad your finding the psp fun! I love mine

Yes my scenario is the same as yours....except that I am not married nor old :P
I am waiting for MGS4 to be released on the PS Vita (the next psp) because Kojima ran MGS4 raw on the Vita on its launch. The signs are there but no clear indication has been provided as of yet neither from Sony nor from Kojima. Though Kojima has said all next MGS games will be ported to PS Vita. Thats a big statement.

@Reaper - haha thats ok. Im sure kojima would be smart enough to have MGS4 on the vita. I read somewhere that games between the vita and ps3 are "transferable" - you can play one and continue it on the other console. But lets see...I really want to play MGS1 - in good graphics
