Ok, the MOST EPIC moment for me on the vita happened today. So I go and start my first online ranked fifa match while sitting on the crapper (yes I need to give you full details) and I was losing 3-0 in the first 45 minutes. The second half starts and what would you know 3-1,3-2 and then finally on the 88th minute 3-3. At this point my legs had gone numb for sitting so long on the toilet but would you believe it 91 minutes and I score the fourth goal. It WAS AWESOME. My reason to get the vita has been fulfilled hahahaahahahahaah. Btw I've played fifa on the ps3 and I've always experienced lag, but surprisingly my first match on the vita was completely lag free.

^The place might have been started to stink since you might have forgotten to flush the toilet in the excitement
Anyways, EPIC story mate![]()
I feel you bro, I also keep telling people the same thing.
@DarkLordMalik: Dude, yeah thankfully I remembered to flush the toilet hahahahaah

Ok, I've tinkered with the vita for a while now and I have to say, it beats all my expectations. The screen is amazing with crisp and vivid colors. I had some reservations about the analog sticks but man, do they feel good. They have this smooth rubbery feel and exude an amazing feel, although the shorter stick length translates into some tricky controls at times. It takes some getting used to, specially if you're accustomed to the Dualshock analog sticks. I also noticed that the wifi seems to drain the battery quiet quickly, however, that can also be attributed to the fact that I was playing at around 80% screen brightness. The thing is, this screen demands you play at high brightness levels to experience its full potential.
I've seen a lot of people trash the UI, but for me personally, it is quite attractive and it gives you the option of changing the background picture for different pages separately. Also, I've seen a lot of people complain about the fact that when you tap on the bubble of an app, it takes you to another page before starting it. I personally see that as a good thing as the page gives a number of options like accessing the game manual or directly going to the PSN page of the game for downloading DLC or game add-on. There are a few design niggles here, which kinda seem odd to me. For one, you don't automatically sign into your PSN account which is kinda silly, but I guess a firmware update can rectify that. On the hardware side, although the entire thing looks and feels really solid, giving off a premium look despite its plastic body, there are some major things which Sony overlooked. For one, the select and start buttons are really flat, are not backlit and as a result, they end up looking a bit cheap. And if you don't have long nails then opening the game cover can prove to be a pain in the ass hahhaha. The speakers also kinda mar the overall look a tad bit, but I guess I'm just being too nit picky here. Overall, the thing feels extremely solid and well built. The touch screen is awesome and I have yet to experience any errors while inputting commands using it.
Now for the games, the first game I booted up was fifa and I have to say, I was not disappointed in the very least. Sure, the game is a port of fifa 11 rather than the latest iteration, but man is it a good port. Everything, barring the ultimate team mode, is available in the game. The controls are nice, specially the back screen shooting feature. However, I did end up accidentaly tapping the rear touch panel which ended in some bizarre shots hahaha. I've also transferred GTA chinatown wars on the vita, and with the Bilinear filtering on, the game does smooth out quite a bit. The biggest surprise however, for me was when I downloaded the demo of Rayman's Origin. I have to admit that I don't really enjoy platforming games but OMGWTGBBQSAUCE, I was blown away by the visuals of the game. The game is absolutely gorgeous and many a times I just stopped playing to take in the ambiance. I have yet to see such a gorgeous game, and then the game goes on and couples it with amazingly tight controls and excellent level design. Before playing the demo I would've never thought that I would EVER pay for a Rayman game but damn, I have to get this one. One word, FANTASTIC. I see this has become a really long post but the last thing I want to mention is Wipeout 2048. I played the demo and I remembered how much I loved wipeout games, I mean it used to be my go to game on the PSP. I guess I have to fork over some cash for this one as well. All in all, my limited playtime has so far been highly enjoyable with little to no niggles to report.
