Precisely, too long of a story, so many things to collect, so many side quests, so many customization options, so many weapons, potions, accessories.
I like plain simple games, one 10-30 hour story, little to medium customization options and something that doesn't get boring over time.

Heh.... I know what you mean. But sometimes your in the mood for such a game with many side quests, customization, 100 hours gameplay and what not but I agree with you in some degree. Games have been too saturated imo, they stick too much to their own genre. There hasn't been any decent mix in the genre, well as far as I know anyway

- Dark Souls (It deserves to be on top)
- Demon's Souls (Only 2nd to DkS cuz DkS had better graphics, more content, larger game, etc.)
- Chrono Trigger (I think this was my 1st RPG ever and damn did I choose a great one to start with)
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution (One of the most unique atmosphere that I've seen in gaming, well executed)
- Kingdom Hearts 2 (I heart this game :P)
- Tales of The Abyss (Epic JRPG one of the better ones)
- And some Final Fantasy (I dunno which one, I didn't give a crap about the name that much. It was a great game and all but I forgot the name and I just don't give a damn enuf to search for it in the seemingly endless amounts of FF sequels -___-. All I know is that it was on the PS2)

Is Dark Souls really that good? If so, I really hope it comes to the PC! I hope it's not as overrated as Skyrim. P.S I DON'T hate Skyrim, but it's an undeniable fact that it's famous because of its overloaded hype. Even I played it only because people were over excited for this.

The first KOTOR game is in the top 3 for sure along with Fallout 3 and Skyrim.

Currently waiting for Disgaea 3 on the Vita. I loved the last two parts and it's meant to be played on a handheld.

Also, recently played Persona 3. It's got me wanting more JRPG titles. One of the things going for the Vita is the remakes coming out for it. Never played FFX or Persona 4 (obviously) so I'm looking forward to the Vita versions.

Oh, and whose played those Doom RPGs I them Nokia phones? Good fun, am I right?

Dragon age origins was a good game which got tooo long,boring and monotonous.

right off the bat Dragon Age, both of them, played the first one twice and second one three times (once with each class )

other thn that:

- Star Wars KOTOR 1 and 2 (lpayed 2 first, still love that one more!)

- Dungeon Siege 2

- Mass effect series

- couldn't go thru whole way in ANY bethesda rpg!

- loved NFS UG series Carpgs
