But ask your friend if they will charge extra on the airport and stuff. If they do then buy it from here, like others said, @SEvolution is selling it, get it from him
You can use either one of the below for audio.

      Or this one

wow thats a really useful converter !!!
      Thanks

@saadi939Bro I am not sure if the ps3 has got a universal power supply, you'll have to do your research on it. I'll tell you more as I get home.

27k for 320gb one with uc3. Thats a good deal man! But I am not sure about customs and charges. Even if you can get that bundle within 30k still than its a great price. You will have to do some research man.

If you buy it from here, you can get that same deal for about 30k the only difference would be a 160gb ps3 instead of the 320gb one. Its your call man.

I don't know how you plan to import it, through shipping it will take a good few days. If you order your PS3 from @SEvolution he'll bring it to you the in just a couple of days. I got mine one day after order placement.

Get 160GB one, pretty much enough but if later on if you feel that you need more space, you can always upgrade hassle-free.

      - I am from karachi, so which are the best places to get it? I mean cheapest and best stores that you know of? I know of some PG members who are selling it for like 26k. Are there any better stores?
PG Ex-premium member @SEvolution sells PS3s brand new pretty cheap, but recently I read that @Jshak is also selling a brand new NTSC-J/REG3 160GB one for 23-24k. Both are reliable and trusted peeps with great repo.

      - What about warranty? Iv heard ps3s coming in pakistan are without warranty, is it true? And those with warranty are VERY expensive? which one is better?
Warranty for PS3s isn't available in Pakistan as PS3 still isn't officially launched in Pakistan. Those offering warranties have international warranties and cannot be claimed here in Pakistan.

      - I have a friend coming pakistan from canada on 1st aug. Would it be better to ask him to bring it? Or should I get locally *NOOB question- would the ps3 bought from canada work fine here?*
Ask you friend to keep an eye out for a cheap deal of PS3, I would prefer that you get it from abroad (for obvious reasons) and ask your friend to just keep an eye on deals as they get pretty good sale offers there.

And yes PS3 from Canada will work here no issues.

      - For the display, i am planning to get a used LED/LCD monitor with an HD port, with the console. Will it work fine? Relating to that, would it be possible to connect the console with a MONITOR with an HD port , or do I need a tv? What about the audio? are there any LCD/LED monitors coming that are with speakers? I have a spare set of 2.1 woofers, can i attach them with the ps3, or do i need to buy some specific speakers/headphone with it?
You can get a good 22"+ LED monitor with HDMI/DVI ports now for 15k+. Don't worry they all work as long as HDMI/DVI port is present. If only DVI is present then you'll need a DVI-to-HDMI converter, then just use an HDMI cable to connect HDMI directly to the PS3 port and one end of the cable to the converter connecting with the monitor.

      Spoiler: show

For speakers, my LCD has built-in speakers, nowadays many screens are coming with built-in speakers but built-in speakers don't quite pack a punch so you can use composite audio setup with HDMI, here's how:

      1. Plug the composite cable into the PS3 along side HDMI.
      2. Connect the White and Red ends of the cable into a 3.5m Jack to rca. (image below)
      Spoiler: show

      3. Connect one end of the converter into 3.5mm jack splitter. (image below)
      Spoiler: show

      4. Connect one end of the speaker's audio cable to the splitter and leave the connections be in a safe place.

You now have audio through your speakers whilst having HDMI video.

      - Lastly, should I really get a ps3 or xbox 360 (I HAVE NO INTENTION TO HACK ANY OF THEM)
      Get a PS3.

      Reasons:

      1. Blu-ray player
      2. Media hub.
      3. EXCLUSIVES EXCLUSIVES EXCLUSIVES.
      4. Familiarity with the controller (if you're coming from or have played PSone/PS2)

Get a new 320gb. Trust me, a few months later, 160 gb will be very less due to downloading big demos and stuff.
No intention of hacking - ps3 is your best choice!

Only some LCDs/LEDs present you with the option of wall mount. Do check the models thoroughly on the internet before purchasing one.
