Bullet time slows your enemies down significantly, letting you aim and fire faster than they can respond. But despite the significant edge this gives you over your foes, they are no pushovers. They make smart use of flanking tactics, so you need to stay aware of what's happening on all sides, and, yes, you need to make effective use of cover. There are still situations aplenty where an old-fashioned head-on approach can get the job done, but by and large, you need to approach combat in Max Payne 3 a bit more defensively than in past games.
http://www.Allcdkey.com/SalesGuide.c...14980271286343 share a 5% discount on Max Payne 3 game. Max's vulnerability, and the feeling of danger that accompanies it, makes combat much more nerve-racking than it was in earlier Max Payne games, but it does come with a downside: Max's signature shootdodge has suffered. You can still leap through the air in slow motion like a John Woo action hero, attempting to blow your foes away before you land, but because your enemies also make good use of cover, there's a good chance some of them won't be vulnerable to your airborne assault, and as you get up from the ground after a shootdodge, you're something of a sitting duck.

Finished. What a goddamn brilliant game. Story and narrative were without doubt the best things about it and I can't stress enough at how well the script was. Granted there was an insane number of cutscenes but the gameplay sections were so intense I was almost glad every time a cutscene played.
And the Favela mission was the best. That is all.

Finished it today.
Pros:
• Brutal and satisfying gunplay. Bullet-time never gets old
• Top notch voice acting and soundtrack (this is gonna stay on my playlist for a while. Anyone playing on PC, the high quality 320kbps OST can be found in the games install directory)
• Superb visuals. Highly detailed environments brought to life, thanks to the attention to detail and a great physics engine. Even on DX10 there are significant improvements to lighting and level of detail over DX9
• Stylish presentation, though the cut scene effects lose their charm pretty quickly
• Max’s monologue alone is enough to drive the story. The dialogues were too awesome!
• No regenerating health!
Cons:
• Uninteresting and predictable plot, filled with a dull, stereotypical and forgettable supporting cast. Like I mentioned, Max was the driving force here and I couldn’t give a shit about the main story. Expected more in this area.Spoiler: show
• WAY…too…many…damn cut scenes. Better stories have been told in gaming in better ways without resorting to this technique. It disrupts the gameplay. It often leads to unfair exposure in combat scenarios and Max losing his secondary weapons or switching to his primary pistol.
• Repetitive combat scenarios. Outside of the scripted and on-rails segments, the first 20 odd mins are practically how the entire game plays.
• Cheap and unbalanced difficulty. Resulted in reliance on cover system more than bullet time.
Favela mission was my fav in the whole game.
All in all, going into the game I expected Rockstar to totally mess up this iconic franchise. There are still some frustrating flaws here, but overall I’m pleased that Rockstar came through. Kudos to finally getting the PC version right. Max Payne feels right at home.

I thought the flickering effect was a bit overdone too. It really got on my nerves at times. Anywhoz is it just me or does the game remind anyone else of the movie Man On Fire? The whole flickering effect and burned out cop theme combined with the similarity in setting kept reminding me of the movie.
