It effectively closes out this generation on a high note while simultaneously raising expectations for gaming storylines and their presentation in the next console generation
      Worth Playing 9.3/10
The Last of Us is a must-play title for any PS3 owner who's not squeamish about violence and depressing subject matter. It has flaws, but they don't detract from the overall experience, and at worst, the game could use a little more interaction.
      4Players.de 9.2/10

      Atomic Gamer 9.0/10
With a well-thought-out mythos, a mildly original take on the zombie survival game that relies more on superb execution and storytelling than innovative mechanics, acting that's so good we actually see character development happen without even words being spoken, and Naughty Dog's impressive engine and top-notch production values, it all comes together to make for a wonderful reminder that not all big-budget action games need to be measured in headshots-per-minute.
      GameFront 8/10
Despite its major victories and steps forward in storytelling, many of those same annoying video game conventions — the demand for action and high body counts, the lack of truly engaging and innovative play mechanics — continue to pull games like The Last of Us down toward the lowest common denominator.
      Famitsu 38/40
      The Last of Us (PS3) – 10/9/10/9 [38/40]
Reviews are still pouring in for this one. I think it will finally settle around 95-96 with 80-90 reviews.

So finished it today. We don't get games like these nowadays. This is a true classic indeed. One of the best game this generation.

My final stats were(Finished on Hard):

      Total Playtime: 16:50
      Total Kills: 583
      Total Melee Kills: 295
      Total Firearm Kills: 255
      Accuracy: 70%
Total Deaths: 86 -> I died a lot more near the end of the game

Will start again from scratch on Survivor.

I'm 7 hours into the game and I must say I am thouroughly impressed by the character models, level design, voice acting and the well-paced story telling ofcourse.

What's most impressive is the fact that the AI is brilliant, giving players a balanced difficulty level so as to keep them on their heels. That's the kind of push players need in order to stay immersed in a game for longer. Equally, too many jump scares also spoil the fun and NaughtyDog has avoided such stumbles magnificently well.

In regards to resolution, I would partly agree with Nomad there. I would seldom see some items overlapping at normal range at a certain camera angle; however, it wasn't much of an issue. Also, there were times early in the game when I thought the movement of characters was rather funny but I adjusted as I progressed through with each passing level.

Overall, a brilliantly executed game and definitely a MUST buy for all and sundry.

For some reason, though, my PS3 restarts whenever I quit the game. Anybody else encountered this?

PS: I haven't yet tried the multiplayer so I haven't updated the game yet.

On both legit and pirated copy, without the patch, no issues whatsoever.

Nah, not that one. It was actually pretty easy for me. I had a lot of Moltov Cocktails + Nailbombs so i defeated almost every clicker/runner/gasser in that area
