Hitman: Absolution Devs Are Sad You Won't Finish the Game
20% of people will finish Hitman: Absolution according to the metrics developed by IO Interactive. The other 80% will give up at some point. And that makes everybody at IO sad.
That's not sarcasm. Tore Blystad, the game's director, said in an interview:
"The general player will probably never even finish the game, which is very sad. Or they might only play through it once, but the game is built for the people who want to go back through every single level and get all the stuff out of it. It's built to last, rather than be a one-off experience."In other words they want you to spend a lot of time looking for the best way to get that Silent Assassin rating.
Blystad notes that they've figured this out by using internal metrics at IO. He also points out that it's pretty much impossible to swap around the levels to make the game more exciting for that 80% as it sticks to a very strict narrative structure.
It's nice to know that those heavily-armed fetish nuns IO had to apologize for are crucial to the plot.

Hasn't anyone seen the saints trailer? I apologize if it has already been mentioned before, but I don't feel like reading through 14 pages.

Hitman: Absolution Deluxe Professional Edition Features Adorable Agent 47
Have you ever wanted a super-deformed vinyl statue of Agent 47? Then you'll want to pick up the Deluxe Professional Edition of his next game.
Limited editions tend to follow a certain formula: Art book, making-of DVD, and some exclusive DLC. Hitman: Absolution abides by it to a tee. In fact the Deluxe Professional Edition is exactly the same as the Professional Edition with one exception.
That exception is the collectible vinyl figure is pretty much the most adorable version of Agent 47 we've seen. We know he's got two Silverballers but we just want to pat him on the head and offer him candy.
He'd likely apply bullets to kneecaps and possibly garrote us soon afterwards for that, but he's too cute not to. Maybe Sony will follow Square Enix's lead and give us an official Agent 47 Sackboy skin.
Come to think of it we're a little surprised Sony hasn't already done that.

^Something for you I guess......
And what's with not FINISHING the game thing. I think every Hitman fan will perniciously try to finish it.
