Garrett Sneaking Onto Next-Gen Consoles With Thief 4

Gamers have been waiting on Thief 4 for quite a while. In fact they've been getting so anxious about it Eidos Montreal had to explain that, no, they hadn't canceled it.
Now a reason is starting to leak out for the delay: Garrett is going to rob next-gen consoles.

The report is classifed as a rumor, which also gives a release date of late 2013 and puts it squarely around the time most industry analysts expect the next Xbox to launch.
If true it would make sense. The title is highly anticipated by gamers and consoles can always use another launch title. Being able to announce Thief 4 as part of the launch lineup would really be the icing on the cake.

Now the question becomes whether it's a next-gen exclusive or whether current-gen consoles will also see the game in some form. Square Enix has refused to confirm or deny the rumor but has said they'll have more information towards the end of the year. So unless somebody out there's got a quiver full of moss arrows and a flexible morality, we'll have to wait until then.

@amaga: dont think that screenshot is from the actual game itself ! also next gen consoles are still not out so that really cant be a ss from the game itself on next gen consoles
