PS 3 controller not charging properly....Need Help!!!!!!!

when I charge my ps3 controller via the usb cable for like 20 minutes or so there is no charge left when I view to see.I take out the cable frm controller and then the controller doesnt work until I again plug the usb cable for charging.is the battery dead or any other problem.NEED HELP!!!

It might a problem in your battery..
