how does the ban affects the xbox these days other than with the very apparent no going on xbl ?
does it still take away the use of hdd or corrupts the gamer tag ?
reason for asking is i am planning to go on live to recover some stuff before dec dash update..... i.e if i dont find any one doing it for me ?

I've been playing on live with all my Rs.150 disks for like 5 months I even purchased a Xbox Live Gold [3 months] card to extend it, and I m still not banned, Thanks God!

Guys if i just update my Xbox through Xbox Live and i dont create an account for XBL will i still get banned by connecting my console with Wireless internet ? or you get banned only when you create an account ?

Nop, I know a person whose gamertag is o RAGINGWOLF o, he has been playing online via a modded console for a long long time and he is not banned yet!If one updates his Xbox to the latest firmware etc then he is safe!
