Recently I got an email from Verizon [Just so you know, Verizon is a Internet and Cellular provider in the US] stating that I had breached a copyrighted material. The contents of the email are as follows:
      Dear Verizon Online Customer:

We appreciate your cooperation on this matter.

      Sincerely,

      Verizon Online
I did actually download the movie and after reading this email I was pretty scared. Afterwards I did some research and found out that since it's a Level 1 infringement, there's a 60% chance I wont get sued. But still there's the 40% chance :[

I guess Pakistan was a better place to download such stuff.

XTR3Mist...I am curious...what kind of internet company are you using in Pakistan??

are you not using a software like a firewall + peer block to hide your ip?

Private trackers? How would a private tracked prevent P2P detection?

Oh. So it was tracked in the US.

      __

No, there's a lot of tracking using 'fake', popular files on public trackers. At least so it has been portrayed on the interwebs so far.

Try CLEAR Internet service. I was in NJ for six months last year and downloaded tons and tons of movies and softwares ( From Torrents) without any problem.
Copy right infringement is an issue in the Western World ( although most of the torrents also originate from the same area)

Don't use popular public Bittorrent sites like ThePirateBay, Bitjunkie, Extratorrent etc. They are the ones which are being tracked. Always go for private trackers like IPT or Torrentday. They are usually hard to track by the authorities.

If you will download a most seeded popular torrent from a popular public torrent site like TPB, you are likely to get caught. Also make sure you don't seed you torrent after downloading, seeding will only get you caught. Just delete the torrent(If downloading from public tracker)after you finished downloading.
