Problem with a Masjid loud speakers

      Hi Guys,

Need some good advice on approaching a serious problem.

The Mosque near my house (2 houses away) has REALLY LOUD speakers. I hate to say this but its so loud that it pinches the ears. To top it all, the Adhaan given at the mosque isn't the nice ones I am used to hearing in the Middle East. This Molvi could learn some qirat lol...

An Adhaan is suppose to invite you to prayers, it has a very unique and inviting sound to it, something you would like to stop and listen to and then go for prayers. This however is just EXTREMELY loud noise with bad highs and lows in qirat

I'd like to approach the mosque and ask them to lower down the speakers but I am afraid they will throw all kind of blasphemy laws and hate crime on me. I tried sealing windows but to no avail... it's still very very loud....

Any suggestions on what to do?

Have some influential/ responsible adults in the area talk it out with the Masjid Administration.

Make sure those people are regular at the Masjid so they can have a say in the matter.

Talk sensibly about the quality of sound... Tell them the speakers are not working fine and its difficult to make out the words of azan. they might take that into consideration..

Simple up front talking should fix the issue.

Taking a blunt approach in the matter won't be a good idea. One must be considerate and convey his concerns in a respectable manner.
Don't worry about being labeled blasphemous or ending up a victim of hate crime. Talk to the masjid committee.
