      How to manage IDs & Passwords - Any easy solution ??

      Salam Guys !

      I have around 200 IDs with different passwords of different forums and websites.

      Its really difficult to keep in mind every ID and its unique password. So if I am not vising a website / forum for 2~3 months, I usually forget my ID and password meant for that forum / website.

      I just wanted to know is there any easy solution to keep in mind or save them somewhere on internet where from I could access them and could feel they are secure as well ?

      Your input will be appreciated.

      Internet browsers have an option for remembering your passwords. Enable it. But keep in mind that it only works as long as you remember the login name.

      Thank you but its not secure. I used to work at different machines on daily basis so I cannot afford this option.

      heres m 2 cents:

      divide your accounts/website/forum/email all into catagories according to their importance, as in work (if its sensitive in nature) should be tier 1, alongw any other accounts in that catagory, then tier 2 can have misc a/cs like fb/linkdin etc... n so on and so forth.

      in tier 1 you need to have extra strong passwords alphanum+cap etc, and each should be different, tier 2 can have little less, and tier 3 can even assign two or three to each site with some variation.

      ofcourse you wont be accessing all of them on a daily basis, so sort em out further by this criteria too.

      some suggestions regarding passwords;

      tier 1 - something only you know (college ID of your university gf/crush+no. plate of your car+first 5 letters of your name where each char cn be replaced w a no. if it can like A=4 ,,, you catch m drift?? change em on a regular basis as well)

      tier 2 - something more common, like your cell/phone no.+some alpha chars in upper/lower case

      tier 3 - aik ya do pass you cn toss around all of em

      I read someone mentioning writing pass to word file... bad idea bro!! trust me its that much safer if you write it on paper and put it in your wallet/some plc safe...

      Use keepass to store your passwords, and sync it up with drop box so you can access it anywhere.

      Make a text file type in all the ids and passwords. Place it somewhere deep in your hard drive where it's hard to find and then change it's property to hidden as well.

      easiest way is to make a text file and compress it in winRAR with a password and bury it deep within the harddrive so that even if someone uses the search function, he wont be able to access or find it
