i have a simple flash animation of a 3d rotation.
prb is i have to crop it.
i can reduce the background size, but that makes the animated layer go out from the canvas.
if i drag it back to the canvas, it animates the movement.
prob is half of the animation had to be converted to a frame by frame animation, so unless i drag each keyframe (50 of them) to the exact same point it wonnt work.
i figured the simplest solution would be to use a swf to gif converter which will crop the images, found one but it does a crappy job...messes up the fps and all.
so can anyone help me out here.
suggest a good swf to gif converter or a solution.
yeah, i dont think its a swf to gif converter that u want, u have to make the animation into a Movie Clip Instance, to do this, u select all the frames, right click, cut them out, except for the first frame. Now u select everything on the first frame and press F8, a window pops up, select movie clip and click OK. The Drawing is now a movie clip! now the whole drawing is one thing, double click it, (movie clips have timelines and layers of their own!) and paste the frames onto the time line and double click somewhere else on the screen(the gray space) Now as you can see that whole animation is in the movie clip. Select the movie clip and shrink it down to the canvas size, so it fits inside. Now press ctrl + enter to test the video and it should be in the canvas!
and read this too!(Im sure this will work on flash 8 pro(thats what i have) and probably MX 2004, not sure about earlier versions)
The Publish Option
if u want to make a gif out of what is inside the canvas in flash, under the background settings button(where u can change the size of the canvas)(or go to File->Publish) is a Publish button, click it and a window pops up, there are many options, deselct all, and select .gif, go to the GIF tab at the top of that small pop up window and change settings to whatever u want, click publish, at the bottom of that window, and ok. Go to My Documents and open the gif that shud be there!
hoped i helped! ask any questions
that kinda solved the intitial problem but after i pasted in the frames the prespective angle gets messed up (i think)
as in instead of rotating about its center now it flys across the screen rotating about a point outside the canvas
are u using motion tween, or frame by frame?
try set the point(the pivet type thing) to the center of the movie clip, just select the movie clip(dont double click)press Q, and the little circle that comes(thats the pivet) try put that to the center maybe that will work?
