      [3D] Ferrari Rosso Stallone Concept

      The Ferrari Rosso Stallone Concept - a limited edition Ferrari - is a light, compact sports car focused on extreme performance and an ultimate driving experience. Inspired by the old F50 and little elements added from various Ferrari limited editions.

      Modeled and Rendered in 3ds Max 2012 using Mental Ray shader.

      Btw the car in the background is the Mercedes SLS AMG modeled in 3ds max as well.

      And yes its still a WIP - Im still working on the front headlights, details on the rear side, the interior, side mirrors, etc..

      and The Car Paint Shader of White Mercedes can be improved
      and the Image u placed for Background sky is Too Much Cloudy where as your lighting seems its sunny day

      add few more
      the texture of the tyres is a bit ignored ... u can add some texture etc
      the front wheel seems to be revolving at a different speed than the read tyre
      white car is very dull ...

      The white car is using a matte paint.. it should have been a little grayer/silver
      The tyre has a tire tread but the tire is rotating therefore the texture is blurred
      The front and the rear wheel are spinning at a different speed, actually i was testing motion blur.. which one looks better?
      The clouds too gave a little dramatic look even though I made the scene as if it sunny. Probably wanted to make it look like a storm's brewing in the background...

      Thanks for the input and such have been noted.. Actually it takes around 7 hours for the scene to render (i.e. to process the image from 3ds Max to PNG format) and further 15-30 mins of post processing in Adobe Photoshop. So any minor change requires about 8 hours of work so its very painstaking!!!

      Thanks.. I learned 3ds Max on my own - online tutorials and resources. Just search on Google and you'll find many. However, there many institutes in various cities in Pakistan as in Arena etc that teach 3ds Max, however, I dont know which one is better.

      As far as 3ds Max or Maya is considered, both are pretty much similiar however 3ds Max is a little easier to use and less technical. Maya on the other hand is a little complex and usually used for accurate technical 3d stuff, mostly for animations. So if you're a noob, 3ds Max is usually recommended.

      Totally depends on what you are going to use it for. Maya mostly based on animation. Actually its the best software out there for character rigging and animations. Studio max on the other hand is slightly easier to use as darksnyder said. I though prefer using Maxon Cinema4D as it is the easiest to learn and has one of the best built-in rendering engine. The body paint texturing engine is great and really easy to use comparing to others. Blender too is an amazing software and absolutely free. I gave it a try but since I use C4D I found it very hard to use. But the animation, dynamics and physics in Blender are even up to par with Maya. It can also do almost anything that the other $4000 softwares could do. I suggest you give it a try. The rendering engine sucks though so you'll have to download Yafaray renderer to get really realistic results.

      @darksnyder I really like the model. I never got around to modelling cars since well my suckish netbook doesn't allow me to make anything too complex :P. But I noticed that the reflection on the Ferrari's paint texture is really high whereas the Mercedes seems to have little or maybe no reflection.
