      programming in excel

      do any one know about programming in excel? I have to write a program that can make a attendance sheet.Can any one tell an appropiate software for that.

      yar excel is best for these type of work.only you must have basic know how of interface and the formulas used for the calculations.

      Use the logical operations (IF then else) correctly they will solve 90% of all the problems.

      yar i was taught excel in college so exactly i dont know the books.but you just type learn excel in google i am sure you will find a lot of free resources

      yes it uses VBA, actually you can program the macro for such requirements, its mainly a VB language , will going to program it your self ?? of you can program in VB you can program that attendance program too in excel using VBA<
      but i would recommend to use MS access for such kind of requirement it will give you more ease since its a pure database system.........

      not a pretty website but should have what you need. But be warned, in my experience, doing anything important (by way of company operations) by using VBA and Office products is asking for trouble. In my last place the IT dept refused to support 'user created' Access/Excel 'software' - I was the one who had to fix the stuff in my dept - Access+Excel have a nak for dying for no reason at the best of time...sticking VBA code in there just gives it more reason.
