You're getting worried over something you shouldn't. You're like the Karate kid asking Mr. Miagi if painting the wall is gonna help in a Karate match. (Hope you've seen the original Karate Kid movie)
Don't worry about how your inputs are coming and where your outputs are going. Just focus on the core logic, code organization and yes, design patterns.

Also, you should learn to use the right library/tool/language for the right task once you enter the market. C++ is not the ideal language for creating buttons and forms. Don't attempt that. It IS possible, it'll give you a LOT of idea about how everything works internally but in real practice, we wouldn't use it if we want to make a form. We'll use .NET and C# which are a piece of cake for any C++ programmer.

Which IDE are you using for your development work?

Recommend for what? For newcomers, coming through the MS path is easier considering the load of help available through MSDN and its forums. So if someone's working his gripes with C++ on a console application in something like VS 2005, it's good and he should start experimenting with a C# based windows application. Also, I don't think there's a better tool for windows based applications than Visual Studio.NET.

I've been working on a huge project for almost 3 years now using Flex Builder. It's Eclipse based which I think is a very versatile IDE but MS's debugger tools are fantastic as well. It mostly just depends on what the person wants to do.

ok thanx 4 the idea... i asked my teacher this question as well and he said the same thing almost...
he advised me not to use c++ for form rather i should use c# or java for that purpose ... so now im going to try
      c# or java during ramzan.
if c# or any .NET is recommended for form apps then what is c++ recommended for ... i heard its widely used for games...
i was gunna learn win32 but my teacher said not to waste my time on that and recommended c# or java...
any ways i am using Visual Studio 2008 c++...
lets say i started C# or java for form apps... what might i use c++ for ???

You're seeking an answer that'll probably confuse you right now, but I'll answer anyways. I've used C++ for only ONE commercial project and it was a little 3D directx based application of "touring" certain military vehicles for cadets. Ultra high res photorealistic textures were mapped on to 3D meshes where you can move the camera around to see whatever you wanted to look at. Other than that, I had used C++ for university assignments and mostly OpenGL and Directx applications.

C# is most convenient to use if you've working in a "Microsoft environment", you know, making windows based applications etc. Java, well, you can use it anywhere given it's "Cross Platform friendliness". You know, when you want the same application running on Windows, Mac and Linux. There's another technology called Adobe AIR that's my current choice and it can help you create some of the most visually impressive applications possible. And it's cross platform also. Though AIR so far isn't exactly very powerful enough when you need to connect to other running applications or processes and certain other file management features. The solution is writing a little server like application in Java and communicating it from the front end based on AIR. So technically, an Adobe AIR + Java combination can help you create extremely beautiful (say mac like) applications, which are extremely powerful, light weight and versatile AND is also cross platform. The most awesome thing is that this application, with little tweaking, can be ported as it is to web and launched from web-browsers as an RIA. Only disadvantage? No multithread control, though there are workarounds for that as well using that little Java server. This is the kind of work I've been doing for the past 2 years or so.

If it does then try to learn programming AIR apps using Action Script 3.0 in Flex Builder. You'll be amazed at what you can do in a desktop cross web application

Yeah. Flex Builder is an IDE for, well, Flex building
You can make AIR/Flex based apps in it, like you do in VS.NET
