Dolby true HD and Dts master audio transmission.

      Aoa guys.

So i have downloaded few Br-rips with Dolby TRUE HD audio, and was wondering to listen to it.

I cant find any good software to do so, i have tried MPC-HC,Arcsoft totalmedia,Power dvd 11, splash pro ex.

Splash pro ex transmits the signa but it cant do it properly and the sound stutters.

      Any other alternatives?

I have a capable AVR and a 3rd gen I5 lappy capable of doing this shit.

Will be trying on my desktop soon also, so anyone?

You need a receiver that is capable of decoding Dolby True HD and you need to connect it via HDMI and have the sound transmitted through that. It's just not possible on a laptop I'm afraid because as far as I'm concerned the HDMI out on laptops does not transmit HD audio.

Bro u need to have a media player like WD or Asus. which have optical out to transfer Dolby or DTS to ur AVR. Only then u will be able to enjoy it. Or get Creative XFi USB sound card to decode Dolby and DTS HD

I don't use HD Audio (no use of it unless you have extremely high end speakers). For player I use XBMC which can play HD Audio. Try it.

Transmitted DTS MA to another receiver,it seems my own AVR was experiencing some problems.
And XBMC was extremely slow playing Full hd, any codecs required?

AVR Brand and Model Please ? I'm using Onkyo Receiver HT-R380 and successfully playing DTS-HD MA and Dolby TrueHD through audio bitstreaming from my ATI HD 5750 card. FYI Bluray rips doesn't have DTS-HD audio or TrueHD audio, only remuxes and full bluray have this untouched HD aduio.

Now tell me how you connected your HTPC to your receiver and tell me which movie are you trying for DTS-HD?
