I don't see it on their website and by the way when it comes to professional projectors for cinemas, Sony doesnt come in the top three, top three cinema projectors are Barco, Kinoton and Christie, I am not really sure why do you think DHA is operating sony.

As far as i know all the digital projectors in Pakistan right now are Barco, Christie is trying very hard to penetrate the market and so is Kinoton, Although Kinoton has been old in business here in form of their 35mm projectors.

well you are the inside man so I wont argue on this. Btw can u tell me what 3D technology our Pakistani cinemas are using, m pretty sure its not RealD, right?

Has anyone been to Cine Gold in Bahria Town, Lahore.
I am thinking of going there today to watch Avengers.
Is it any good? I am taking my friends there they will have to travel all the way from other side of lahore, i dont wanna get bashed, if Cine Gold turns out to be NOT Good .
And any idea of ticket prices.

also I RESEARCHED A BIT ON THE NET and dha cinema DOES HAVE SONY 3D 4k technology WHICH is eco friendly !

ON THEIR WEBSITE www.DHA3DCINEMA.COM they are openly saying they got SXRD technology projector 4k ! etc and when i researched a BIT i came up with SXRD exclusive to SONY PROJECTORS ! so yeah they do have sony projectors than ...

I can't do anything about DHA Cinema that's not our jurisdiction, If Sony news is valid than that means that either they have fucked their Barco or they don't know how to operate it lol

Have any of you guys watched The avengers in "Cinepax rawalpindi" or the newly opened Bahria town islamabad cinema "The arena". If so then what is your review about it, was the print good, the sound quuality, 3d quality etc??

Saw avangers in cinestar. The brightness was too damn low. I can barely see detail with my 3d glasses on.

^^ thats WHY CINESTAR got 2k technology and DHA CINEMA got 4k 3d TECH ! IT WAS QUITE good at DHA CINEMA

It has nothing to do with 4k or 2k. Barco Digital Projectors run on two light output modes,

1. Normal
2. CLO (Constant/Consistent Light Output)

In normal mode you select light dimming and all other factors are adjusted accordingly.

In CLO mode you set a target FL number to achieve and every other setting is done revolving that FL value (FL=Foot Lambert)

FL for Avengers is 6.0 while a normal movie runs at around 1-2 FL.

Like I mentioned until and unless the projector is configured properly for a particular movie it won't run upto its potential. We are in learning phase and soon with experience you guys will get a much better 3D experience.

4k projector running a 2k DCP would not make it better, Take my word for it, been there done that.
