Go for O and A levels, and choose your education system based on which one suits you and which one enforces the whole point of educating people, not that this will help you get into that and that will help you with this and FSC is better for pak. That is NOT the point of education.

I really think most of the people here are being unjust to the matric/FSc system. Seriously? You say that doing O/A levels is only for those who want to get into the depth of it and are good at concepts? Guess what? I know 8 people from matric/FSc system and they are EXTREMELY well at their concepts. not to mention I know one person who got A*'s in EVERY subject he took(he's from A Levels), but knew shit about conceptual questions. It's the person who makes the difference.

I'm not trying to change your choice brother. Just pointing out the obvious to the haters.

My cousin did FSc and whenever I have any problem I ask him and he is way better than any A level person I know. I am in O level myself though. My parents made me do it but I wanted to do Matric. Why? Well it saves a precious year. And about the going abroad thing, it does not matter much.

Nobody is saying all Matricians and FSc pass are wailay insaan who dont know anything, it ALWAYS comes down to your own potential in the end. If you're not smart enough and dont pay attention to studies, bhalee harvard chale jao, you'd be useless (not that they'd let you in, but just saying). The point people are trying to make is, GENERALLY Cambridge has a better education system with stricter checking, more emphasis on concepts etc than FSc does. And thats a fact. That does NOT mean anyone doing the lateral is inferior or smth, it always comes down to your own capability. Always.

All I am saying is, do not opt for FSC for the REASON of equivalence issues or financial benefits, study what suits you. Thats all

You can do it privately in 2 years, it is 2 years in most countries in the world, if the pakistani government makes you do three extra subjects and waste another year, it is not CIE's fault.
