UNSW or Imperial College of London for Master's in Petroleum Engineering
Guys, odd thread I admit but I've been admitted into the above schools for my Master's program in Petroleum Engineering. Anyways, I'm still pondering over the decision as to which school to go to and it doesn't hurt to hear some opinions. Imperial is, infact the higher rated of the two schools but the flip side is that the job scene is really bad in England whereas, Australia has abundant opportunities specially in the oil side. So, fire away people let's see what you think!!!

If only it was that easy, its 7.5 million of my dad's money on the line. And that seems like a helluva lot for women

Dunno if you'll get a good answer here, Sameer. PM inferno. He's in UK studying at the moment. He might be able to help out. Also try some educational forums and stuff. Best of luck. Don't leave without meeting up.

Oh you will definitely get a good answer here.
A close friend of mine did his MS in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London. Yes, it is rated higher with some professors who are the leaders in the field BUT the job market in UK is just hopeless.
In Australia, you might have a better shot at scoring a job but bear in mind that Australia too is not rife with jobs.
Then again, if you're a Petroleum Engineer, the fuel station of the world is Middle East. Huge salaries especially in Qatar & Saudi Arabia, but an experience is required.
So, there you go.

Thanks for the help Raptorian, man that's the thing. Atleast I'll have a shot at getting a job in Australia, however, if I go to Imperial I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to land a job in England. Btw what is your friend doing right now?
