      Okay I dont know much about the UK but for North America (including Canada), they really dont care about A-Levels at a college or university level. The 1st thing u will need to is have ur A-Level transcript evaluated. They will give u an equivalence degree = high school. The SAT results are actually very good. Id recommend u do those and do them well, cause they are generally recognized in the States and Canada also.
      Heres what I had to go through to give u an example:
      I am a US citizen and came over to PK because of some family issues, while in Karachi, I finished-up my A-levels. Came back to the States, and decided to apply directly as a freshmen at UCLA and UC Berkley. They would NOT accept my A-level transcripts as high school equivalent, but since I was 17 I was able to go to high school as a senior and finish up.
      However, since A-Levels are affiliated with the UK you should not have that problem. Go for it and make a strong mark. Also, be ready for some really expensive tuition and fees, cause ull be under the international students category, where they charge u an arm and leg. In ur situation I would recommend the UK just because ur already going through their system. As for which ones are cheaper and have decent standards, a local can answer that better than me.

      May I ask why u arent considering the US? Whats ur major?

      regarding studies in pakistan:

      after you give your SAT test, you'll also have to appear in the respective universities entrance test too (GIKI & NUST, dont know about LUMS); and your admission will be decided on a merit calculated by your SAT and entrance test scores [for example NUST will count 70% of the entrance test and 30% of the intermediate (or equivalent) i think, u can check the website/prospectus]

      regarding studies abroad:

      i dont have much idea, but the fees for international students will always be much higher, try to search for some scholarship; and i hear that education in sweden is for free, even for foreign students.

      hmm actually i am thinking about canada for higher studies...Plus i heard that if u can show some1 in canada who has a green card ur RELATIVE u can apply for Green card or citizenship and u can then pay the fes of a normal citizen

      ---------- Post added at 03:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:21 PM ----------

      @newton
      i saw GIKI site they said u can give SAT II of math IICL and physics
      thus no need of giving enterance exams...
      about NUST or LUMS they say u have to give 3 SAT II papers...including chemistry

      so i will only be trying for GIKI and other universities...

      @DaGamer
      actually some of my relatives are in canada and some friends in UK(London and Edinburgh) so thats why was considering this.otherwise dun have any prblem gng to USA...
      but already i will be applying to many universities
      like in BAHRAIN here in SAUDI ARABIA
      then PAKISTAN then UK then CANADA...
      InshALLAH atleast in one i would get admission..

      ok here we go!!
      if u choose uk or canada,the fee is gonna be like 17000 pounds per year(this includes tution fee and the dorm)im talking abt any good uni in uk!!
      in uk,canada and usa its like less fees= crappy uni

      with money u can even get into harvard!(there are quota students cuz the uni doesnt want all geeks in em soo they let rich ppl come and pay 3 time sthe fee each year!)
      btw the education in norway is free for international students not sweden !ive been around the globe!lol

      citizenship is a lil more tricky these days.

      btw its a great solution, but you need like a 3 year head start...
      apply for citizenship
      local students pay waaaayyyyy less than we do,
