Microsoft Kinect (For Windows) - Help needed!

Hello Everyone.

I don't know that how many of you are aware of the fact that Microsoft released Kinect for Windows in February 2012.

For all those who know about it and are using it for development purpose, I could really use some help here. I have downloaded all the required tools i.e. SDK, Kinect Studio and Toolkit Browser as well. The problem that I am facing is when I want to use Mo-cap plug-in for iClone5 for the animation purpose, it would not detect the device and give this

"Connecting to Mocap DeviceInitiation fail. (65565: Device not found)"

error. I have tried to google the error number of times and ended up with the solution to download OpenNI libraries, which didn't help as well and I am stuck. If anyone has succeeded in running the device with Mocap and iClone 5, please help me out. I have my Final Year Project on the line here and I need to make it work.

Making a software for Physiotherapy. Would diagnose and assist the patient as far as possible without a need to go to actual therapist.

hmmm good one. If i am not wrong one such project has already won something at microsoft imagine cup.

I am also thinking of developing something using microsoft kinect as soon as i hit some groundbreaking idea that has use in any field other than medicine.

how much did the kinect cost you here in pakistan and from where did u purchased it.

Around 30K. Bought it from US and got it shipped here. Don't use the Pakistan Post unless you have someone in Custom who could get it out for you. It is one hell of a task.

brother i think its a fault with ur computer. Sometimes it happens that drivers become corrupt during installation, kinda like when sometimes a computer just doesn't pick up a USB.

Maybe u should try installing the kinect on a friend's computer.

I am facing the same problem on my Laptop (64-bit) Windows 7 and same for the PC (32-bit) Windows 7. Can't be co-incidence. The Device is working totally fine and even its drivers + built in game. The only problem is with Mocap plugin.
