This file is all that is needed and you don't need to worry about sxe no more. You can connect to any server without opening sxe injected. Sharys thread is a fail so you can just follow my simple steps and all your problems will be resolved

Just extract the file (demoplayer.dll) and copy it into your valve directory (C:\Program Files\Valve) and thats it. Goodbye sxe.

Works like a charm on Windows 7. I uninstalled sxe, its a piece of trash that creates lag and ruins your game. Just open cs and connect to any server.

1) No its not a fail, its the official method to run sXe with a "decent" copy of CS. Ive seen people pick up strange copies of CS, like Russian, CS 1.7 (WTF is this version?) etc, so it won't run on any modified versions.

2) Will it promote cheating because sXe won't be running?
