CS 1.6 Invalid Key error!!

hey I install Cs 1.6 non-steam on Vista .. after installation i use cdkey.reg to register CD key..
when ever i connect to any server it gave me Invalid CD Key Error. what should i do .. i reinstall twice but same error . My installation prev. 100% work on XP.

I think u need a legit cd key to play on steam servers. Try playing on non-steam/cracked servers.

well i also got same problem, last month while CS tourney was on, and had to withdraw

and it happens for every server! whether cracked or non-cracked. and no box for entering the serial key appears, jsut an error window.

can anyone help us both out?? haven't played CS at home, play at Playdium and it ain't cheap joking. still at home, it's more fun.

please, do help and give a solution, anyone.

This error fix is for cracked servers only! Replace the file with your
hw.dll

This is the only reply which I found better, yes Mindfreak is right!

Or just download a new version of the torrent (modified by digitalzone) and it will automatically display only cracked servers cause it's modified to get the list of servers from the master cracked server instead of the Steam ones.

I have it and it worked fine...or you can just always use the "CONNECT" command to connect to any of your favorite server (I myself use the internet servers option quite rarely)

ok i tried again and failed. it's worse than ever.

the blue CS window opens and suddenly music gets stuck and no menu appears and error reporting window appears in the middle.

what to do??
